What timezone is used?

The countdown uses your device’s local timezone. When you pick a date and time in the picker, it is interpreted as your current local time. This means the countdown automatically respects daylight saving time and your regional time offset without any manual configuration.

Can I count down to multiple events?

Currently this tool supports one countdown at a time. You can save one target using the “Remember this countdown” option. Bookmark the page with your target set, or take a screenshot if you need to track multiple events separately.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the page loads, the countdown runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. No data is sent to any server, and the timer continues even if your internet connection drops. The “Remember this countdown” feature uses localStorage, which is stored on your device.

What happens when the countdown reaches zero?

When the target time is reached, the display switches to show “Event has passed” along with the elapsed time since the target. The timer keeps running so you can see exactly how long ago the event occurred, down to the second.
